The fair will charge R V's  $20 (with air) per night; $10 (without air) for electric in the area north of the barns.  R V's parked in R V park, $30 per night. Please make payment at fair office at beginning of stay.

All exhibitors must have their animals in place by Tuesday, July 17, 9:00 p.m. C.D.S.T., except hogs (see department). Livestock (open class only) will be released from 11 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday. All other Livestock will not be released until after 6:00 p.m. Sunday. All exhibits other than livestock may not be removed until after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22.  All trade exhibits will be in place until 6:00 on Sunday evening. Any exhibitors failing to comply with the above rule will forfeit his premiums won during the Fair. All livestock must be off the grounds by Monday evening following the closing of the Fair.

No entry of livestock will be allowed to unload until the health certificates have been properly checked by the Superintendent and pens assigned. See page 4 (Exhibition Livestock Health Requirements for 2012). Registration papers for pure breed swine must accompany them to the scale.

All entries must be in the hands of the Secretary of the Fair June 30, 2012.

Exhibitors will be limited to two monies in any one class except special ruling by department.

Each exhibitor in the open classes will be furnished one additional helper’s ticket for each 7 cattle; 8 sheep/goats. . Limit #2 additional.

Each exhibitor is responsible for his own feeding equipment and straw and must keep his pens and exhibits in good order. Premiums will be withheld from any exhibitor failing to keep his pens in a presentable manner.

The fair reserves the right to refuse permission for the entry to show, if the entry is not considered worthy of merit.

Special additional premiums by Breed Associations are offered, but are subject to final approval of the respective associations.

Classes without competition may be combined at the discretion of the superintendents.

All entries must be accompanied by check or money order for entry and stall fees. Exhibitors desiring to enter animals in the Open Class which are also entered in 4-H competition must pay an entry fee for each Open Class entry.

All exhibitors must be prepared to parade their livestock subject to the call of the Superintendent of each division. Any refusal shall automatically forfeit their premiums won by this entry. All Premiums of exhibitors will be forfeited if livestock leaves before permission is granted by the Department Superintendent.

The interpretation of all rules concerning the Fair shall rest entirely with the Fair and its decision shall be final.

Watchman shall be provided by the Kane County Fair to guard exhibits, but it cannot be held responsible for the personal loss or injury from fire, theft, or any other cause during the duration of the Fair.

The Fair gates will be open to the public at 7:00 a.m. daily. Midway opens at 3p.m on Wednesday. 12:00 p.m. Thursday through Sunday..

Service trucks will be allowed in the grounds until 11:00 a.m. and between 4:00 p.m.and 5:00 p.m.

Assignments of stalls and pens will be made by the department superintendents and all exhibitors are expected to comply with such assignments. Stall and pen fees are paid on all open class exhibits.

 

Free admission tickets are given to all 4-H’ers of Kane County who exhibit at the Fair; as well as, Department Superintendents and assistants. 4-H exhibitors should pick their pass up Monday, from 2 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Robinson Hall (4-H exhibit display building). Reporters are granted free admission with the proper press credentials. Concessionaires receive one general admission ticket. Concessionaires will be charged upto $500.00 per cut-in on electricity and a $30 per day house trailer parked on grounds. Trade exhibitors receive four season passes.

Parents of livestock exhibitors will be allowed to unload livestock exhibits up to  9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17th, without an admission ticket.

All trade people and contractors’ employees—such as ice men, ice cream trucks, bread trucks, etc., must secure a season pass.

Judges will receive a free season pass.

Free parking is available in the Fair’s parking lots west of grounds.

Premium checks not picked up (at fair office) by Sunday night ( last day of fair) will be forfeited.

All exhibitors shall confine their activities to their booths and not to exceed three feet in front of their booths.

No refunds for any livestock deemed not to qualify or associated pen/stall fees.

All cattle must be washed on wash rack.

No animals are to be released from the fairgrounds until all sale animals have been accounted for and superintendent’s permission given.
